Lollie Elliott, Georgia - SI Trip Leader 08
How great this trip has been. I really did not think that anything would be as good as Peru, but God had something totally different for us to Learn. This has been a great trip! Josh Doorly, Virginia - SI Trip 08
How easy it is to talk to people once you approach them.

...how very quickly I came to enjoy it. We got 5-7 hours of sleep a night, worked/trained all day...but I loved it!

What surprised me the most is that I didn’t mess up.

The presence of God basically deleted my shyness when we were doing outreaches.

How much God grew in me.

Having a lot of people show up at the outreaches, wanting to know God and give their lives over to Him.

This was different change of pace for a missions trip for me. The training was huge and I loved the street ministry!
Seeing all the kids and adults give their lives to God.
Having my hearts broken for the people; I finally felt called to these people and cared about them, I wanted to help them.
I was able to step out of my comfort zone. God gave me the strength to share my testimony, talk to people, perform in front of them, and I didn’t think I could do any of that.
All the outreaches that we did and all the lives God touched through us. This week was amazing and I really felt God working through me.
Seeing how happy the kids were when we got there.
Finding out that all some people need is genuine love. Giving love is all people need to be able to trust you and that is the first step to leading people to Jesus.
Truly experiencing the Holy Spirit.
I will never forget all the people that committed their life to the lord at the outreaches.
I think one of the biggest memories I will leave with is being able to witness to a little Muslim girl named Florenza. While we were talking to her, she continued saying that she believed in Jesus, but that she just calls him Mohammed. I explained to her that Jesus and Mohammed are not the same people, but that Jesus is the Son of God, who died for our sins. Then I asked her if she knew what else was different between Jesus and Mohammed...she said "What?" I then told her that after three days Jesus rose from the dead. Her eyes got huge and she couldn't believe it. I then told her that it was because Jesus conquered death, that he gives us life...eternal life, and that is the only way that we go to heaven, and all we have to do is accept Jesus as our Savior, and ask Him into your heart...at this I was able to lead her to Jesus.
I got to talk to a guy for about 30 minutes. He knew just enough of the Bible so he could get his view across. But it was amazing because God gave me the perfect words to say. Did he get saved? No. But did I make a difference in his life? YES!
My life has changed completely through talking with people about Jesus.
My life was changed by drawing closer to God. I was touched by touching lives of other people.
I got to talk with a girl named Tamika, who accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.
“There were so many lives that were changed. Just talking to people and letting them know what the Lord has done in my life and how it made me change my life made them want to have Him in their lives. They were able to talk to me and tell my about their lives and what they need to change.”

I am now a servant of God. I want to be a blessing to others for God’s glory, and follow his plans for my life.
I can’t wait to see where God is going to take me!
I want to share the Lord with more people!
It has shown me a lot about life, I’ve grown in my relationship with Jesus and most importantly I have more confidence to witness to people.
